What: This organisation produces portable solar powered devices such as solar panels, solar lights and power banks. These devices are especially effective when combating the lack of power and safe light sources in refugee camps. WakaWaka’s Solar Power Station charges phones or tablets, or provides up to 40 hours of light in just one day of charging.

Success: 56,550 WakaWaka products are currently being used by Syrian refugees in camps globally. WakaWaka is currently running 303 projects. Worldwide, there are 290,424 devices in use in 61 different countries. WakaWaka has impacted 1,267,701 individuals so far.
